Making the Most of Mobiles

Making the Most of Mobiles

Event
Mary Whiteside & Anna Lloyd

Join Mary Whiteside and Anna Lloyd for an exploration of the common issues facing teachers trying to find ways to better integrate mobile learning - in and out of the classroom.

As more and more students (and teachers) have access to smartphones and tablets, both in the classroom and at home, the opportunity to make positive use of them has greatly increased. It is no longer the case that only those schools with access to multiple devices and good internet access can make use of mobiles for learning. Whether at home or at school, more teachers are now in the position that the majority of their students have access to smartphones.

We’ll be talking about how to make the most of this – and how to make sure that mobiles in your classroom, or mobiles at home, are adding value to learning rather than distracting students from it.

Join us and we’ll answer your questions on some common queries, including;

  • How to get started with BYOD ‘Bring Your Own Device’ learning
  • Managing mobile use - promoting learner autonomy and positive classroom behaviour
  • Mobile learning outside of the classroom
  • Talking to parents and managers about the value of mobile learning
  • Group and project work with mobile devices

…and anything else that you’d like to ask us. So, what do you think?

Join Mary & Anna for the Facebook Live event on Wednesday 5th October at 3pm BST to talk about these ideas further and answer any questions you may have.
