Technical requirements
Cambridge English Teacher works well on a variety of computer and browser platforms. Most users' configurations already meet these requirements.
What do I need?
Cambridge English Teacher supports the following operating systems and browsers.
Operating system and browsers
- Windows: Chrome 12, Firefox 5, Safari 4, Internet Explorer 8
- Mac: Safari 4
Note: The above browser versions are fully tested with the site. Newer versions may work fine but are not officially supported by Cambridge English Teacher.
JavaScript
Some features in Cambridge English Teacher require JavaScript to be enabled in your browser (for further information, refer to your browser's Help or technical support facility).
Hardware
We recommend you have at least 256MB of installed RAM, and you should set your display to a resolution of 1024x768 with 32-bit colour depth.
You need to have a sound card installed in your computer and either speakers or a headphone jack and headphones.
Internet connection
To use Cambridge English Teacher, your computer must be connected to the Internet. We recommend a connection speed of at least 1Mbps.
Additional software
For some features in Cambridge English Teacher, such as the resources and course videos, you'll need additional software, which is probably already installed on your computer. If not, you can download these products free of charge.
You'll need the following:
- Adobe Flash Player. You can download this at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
- Adobe Reader or another PDF viewer. You can download Adobe Reader at http://get.adobe.com/reader.
